The 'car park team' at Werribee Mercy collecting their service award from Hospital Manger, Wendy Dunn,.
When Werribee Mercy opened its doors back in 1994 there wasn't much call for long service awards.
Twelve years later the hospital has over 800 staff and some have worked there since the hospital opened.
With 99 people eligible for ten year badges and 221 for five year certificates it was time for Werribee Mercy to hold an inaugural Service Recognition Ceremony. The busy ceremony was held at the nearby campus of Victoria University.
Wendy Dunn, the Hospital's manager made many of the presentations at the ceremony.
Wendy was entitled to an award herself because she was part of the seventy strong team that opened the hospital. Wendy said, "It was time to stop and reflect on the service we have given over the years and to think about how much has been achieved and how many lives we have touched."
