The former car park, which is now a hole, that will become the basement of our three storey aged care home
The upper and lower levels of the former hospital's underground car park have been removed, turning the site into a giant hole. Various buildings have also been demolished.
The Clarendon Street entrance has been opened so semi-trailers can be reversed into the old foyer where tons of rubble and debris can be dropped into the trucks, through a hole cut in the foyer ceiling.
Salta Properties have bought the site and they are building the new aged care home for us as part of the terms of the sale of the former hospital. They are also in the process of gutting the hospital building prior to converting it into very upmarket apartments.
