Mercy Health leads the way in the Advancement of Women

On 11 November Mercy Health received the "Leading Organisation for the Advancement of Women" citation at the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) Business Achievement Awards.

This follows Mercy Health's "Employer of Choice for Women" citation for 2008 and 2009.

"This Leading Organisation citation recognises Mercy Health's commitment to care for our carers," Mr Ballard said.

Women represent 71% of all senior management positions and 88% of all employees across the organisation.

"Our priority is to always care first. We achieve this through the attraction and retention of talented people, committed to caring for others," he concluded.
