Sister Aurelia Lambert celebrated her 100th birthday in May at Mercy’s Rice Village, in Geelong.

Mercy growing in Werribee
Villa Franca Nursing Home in Werribee has joined Mercy Health & Aged Care. The Department of Health and Ageing approved the transfer of ownership to us on 23 May.

Mercy Health & Aged Care has purchased Excelsior Aged Care in Shepparton. The elderly residents who live in the home will continue to be cared for by Excelsior staff, all of whom will become Mercy Health & Aged Care employees.

Demolition work has started to clear the site at the rear of the former Mercy Hospital for Women in East Melbourne, for a new 110 bed aged care home.

Sandy home for Mercy
At the end of November Mercy Health & Aged Care took ownership of a 46 bed aged care home in Sandringham. The home was known as Fernhill Hostel and has be renamed Fernhill Mercy.
