All medications required by inpatients at the hospital are regulated by the hospital pharmacy. The hospital participates in the PBS Discharge Scheme - patients generally get their full PBS quantity on discharge and will be charged fees similar to those in a retail pharmacy shop. This scheme enables us to supply medicine to our patients in a safer, easier and more convenient way.

Interpreter Service The hospital interpreter service is available to patients who are unable to speak or do not clearly understand English. If you, or a friend or family member, require an interpreter while at the hospital please ask the nursing staff to arrange it for you. Chapel The hospital chapel is open to all patients, their families and friends, regardless of their religious beliefs. All are welcome to use the chapel for personal prayer and meditation or as a place of peace and rest.
Pastoral Care The hospital recognises the importance of total patient care - spiritual and emotional - as well as physical care. Members of the pastoral care team are available on request to provide the companionship of sensitive listening and spiritual support to patients and their families, regardless of whether or not they have any religious affiliation.
Pastoral care staff visit the ward areas daily Monday to Friday and endeavour to call on each patient at least once during their hospital stay. If you (or a patient you are visiting) are not contacted by the pastoral care team during your/their stay, or a further visit is required at any other time, please advise a member of the nursing staff who will arrange this for you. Holy Communion is available at the bedside, on request. Denominational chaplains also visit regularly.
