Imaging (X-rays, etc) Medical Imaging Australasia (MIA) provides imaging services at Werribee Mercy Hospital.MIA provides an extensive range of modern imaging services including X-rays and ultrasounds to hospital inpatients, outpatients and the hospital Emergency Department.
Interpreter Service The hospital interpreter service is available to patients who are unable to speak or do not clearly understand English. If you or a friend or family member require an interpreter while at the hospital please ask the nursing staff to arrange it for you.
Medical (General) Ward The 28 bed Medical Ward provides wholistic care to patients within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Occupational Therapy The occupational therapists provide assessment and treatment for patients who find they have problems carrying out normal daily activities.
Home assistance and provision of appropriate equipment to assist with independence is also provided. If you feel you would benefit from an appointment with the occupational therapist, please ask a nurse to arrange it for you.
Palliative Care Unit Ten palliative care bed are available to provide symptom control, respite care and terminal care. The unit liaises closely with the palliative care consultant, the community provider, Mercy Western Palliative Care and the multidisciplinary team who work together to provide optimal care to each patient, their family and friends.
Pathology The Pathology Department (managed by St Vincent's Pathology) offers services to inpatients and outpatients and is located in Werribee Mercy Hospital.The department performs a comprehensive range of tests.Results are sent to your referring doctor as well as any nominated doctor, including your GP.

Physiotherapy The physiotherapy department provides inpatient and outpatient services to the community.Services include the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of human movement and function with special emphasis on the neurological, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular systems.
The hospital's physiotherapists provide pre-surgery information and post-surgical treatment and programs for recovery as well as postnatal education to women during their stay in the Childbirth Centre.Specialist physiotherapy services are also available in women's health management and multidisciplinary health education programs are also provided by suitably qualified physiotherapists.
